My 2017 intention was to do regular social media posts. I had it all planned.  Well, it’s safe to say that I’m not exactly on track, so I thought I’d sum up the last seven days and show you why I haven’t been too busy on FaceBook this week – but I HAVE BEEN PRODUCTIVE!!!

I can’t bear people that go on about how busy they are (we’re all busy!) but I think I am going to pat myself on the back for being productive and getting through this week relatively unscathed!

This week I have:

  •  Had a meeting with a potential wedding couple who wanted to discuss the options for their personalised ceremony at one of my favourite venues – the fabulous Hampton Manor, where I am the recommended Celebrant.  I’m delighted that they confirmed their booking a few days later.
  • Had an international FaceTime call with a groom who is currently in America and having his ceremony in England this Spring.
  • Downloaded the latest issue/Winter Edition of  Inspired Brides Magazine. It’s as must have for any bride – get your winter edition now and make sure you read my article on page 44.   You can download a digital copy of Inspired Brides magazine here
  • Delivered 4 funeral/Celebration of Life services
  • Met another 6 families to discuss (and then write) the funeral ceremonies for their loved ones.
  • Received a lovely Thank You card for a funeral I delivered last week.
  • Given a Business Development presentation to a group of super- duper ladies at the Athena Warwickshire networking group in Leamington.  I shared my experience of how I took a leap of faith and grew wings when I gave up my corporate job and became a Celebrant…I never knew how amazingly wonderful something can turn out to be!  #wingstofly
  • Joined a Facebook group of likeminded Celebrants
  • Remembered to feed the birds in the snow, walk the dog in the sun and fetch the husband from the train station.
  • Survived Friday 13th
  • Exhibited at my first wedding fayre of 2017 at Hogarths Hotel.
  • Whew!

I did however take 10 min to look at the wintery photos on Social Media from across the country, and came across some incredible driving skills by a FedEx  lorry driver in the USA. The video is at the end of this post – watch it to the very end – you’ll be ‘doubly’ surprised.

 Until my next post!

 Your Celebrant
