Elegance, Romance, Champagne and Castle in the Cotswolds…

Simone & Andy

September 2018

Elegance, romance, champagne and a castle – is many a girl’s dream wedding.  And it certainly was a dream come true for Simone and her groom Andy when they flew in from Australia to have their wedding ceremony in the gardens of Sudeley Castle in the heart of the Cotswolds.

What started as a holiday romance in the Canadian Rockies, saw them both moving across continents for love, before finally setting up home Down Under.

Heartfelt readings by the mother-of-the-bride and a close friend contributed to a truly personal day, whilst a collective guest promise to support Andy & Simone “wherever they may be in the world” was a thoughtful way to include all guests, some of whom had travelled from America, Australia, New Zealand and Qatar.   A Champagne toast closed the ceremony with a sip to the past, a sip to the future and a sip to happily ever after…..

Wedding Vows

Short, sweet & sincere with some honest admissions!  I loved the surprise vows that Andy & Simone wrote to each other – but more importantly – they loved them!

Extract:

Simone I love you. Very simply. Very truly. You are the epitome of everything I have ever looked for in another human being. There isn’t another soul who has ever made me half the person I am when I’m with you. I am forever changed because of who you are and what you mean to me.  I promise to always order something you like so that we can share meals and to try my hardest, to step away from my stubbornness, and accept that I make mistakes and that I am (to my dismay), not always right.”

“Andy, I promise to honour, encourage and support you through our journey together; even when times are hard. I vow to keep the good memories alive, and to tryand let the bad ones die… although you know I love to keep some ammunition up my sleeve for arguments.  I promise to be a bit tidier, to stop stealing your chocolate from the fridge, and continue to love and respect you for the rest of our lives.”

Jewellery

The wedding day itself is over before you know it, but what better way to re-live the Big Day than a piece of commissioned jewellery that takes you down memory lane every time you wear it?

The bride’s mother surprised her daughter with a delicate bracelet crafted by multi-award winning jewellery designer Ruth Mary.   Simone & Andy’s love story inspired the design of Simone’s bracelet which matched the lace on Simone’s wedding dress.

A future heirloom through which their story can be told to future generations..
