I hadn’t entered TWIA before, because to be honest, I was probably nervous. What if no-one wanted to vote for me? But I took a leap of faith and sent off my submission on 17th August 2016 – a date that would hopefully bring me good luck as it was the 4th anniversary of my very first wedding ceremony (thank you Mel & Devi!)
Well that date did bring me good luck! I’m a regional finalist. Thank you to all of my lovely couples who voted for me – YOU are awesome – without YOU I wouldn’t be a finalist and without YOU I wouldn’t be where I am today and do the job I love. Thank you for your support and confidence.

Celebrancy is gaining momentum in the UK as brides and grooms here start to think ‘outside the box,’ take control of their ceremony and not be restricted by the red tape of regulation as they rightly demand to have their ceremony of choice, in their location of choice, with their content of choice, with their partner of choice. It is rewarding that the role of a Celebrant is becoming more recognised. This award means profile for all Celebrants.
The West Midlands Regional Awards ceremony is on 14th November 2016 and I’m looking forward to a super evening with colleagues from the wedding industry…
