I met Louise and Mark in April 2014. The moment we met, we clicked!  They hadn’t quite decided on their venue yet, but they knew that they wanted a ceremony that was personal and true to them. That’s where I came in.

A few short weeks later, they had selected their venue and confirmed the date with me. I was excited by their choice of venue – The Bonded Warehouse in Stourbridge, West Midlands, and there was a narrowboat involved!

I was welcomed in to their home amidst furry friends and hot chocolate as we talked all things “ceremonial.” I had previously sent them a fun questionnaire that we completed together (this helps me build a picture of the couple), but they had gone above and beyond by creating an inspiration board that gave me a real insight into their relationship. Anyway – let’s short cut to the ceremony …

Confetti canalside Celebrant wedding
The mid-summer’s day arrived, the weather was on our side (although a bit of breeze) the bride and groom did the final touches to their venue and were ready to go. People had travelled from far and wide for their Big Day, found a chair on the canal side or a view from the narrowboat, and the fun began. It is really important to me that my couples are relaxed and enjoy themselves -it is after all, one of the happiest days you’ll share – so smiles and laughter are a key ingredient. Louise and Mark had it all.

They opted for a handfasting (they made the scarf themselves), read their vows to each other, and had two friends sing. Their photographer captured all the great moments of their special clay. A picture paints a thousand words – and these photos say it all!!

Hi Justine,

Thank you so much for the beautiful ceremony you prepared and delivered for us on Saturday.  We are both still on Cloud 9, laughing and smiling at the memories made. Without exception, every single guest has commented to us about how personal and how beautiful the ceremony was. Many comments have been that it was the best wedding they have ever been to.

Thank you so much for truly making our day xx
