Cher & Richard August 2018 – Alcott Weddings

Hasn’t is been a glorious summer?  In 6 years of officiating wedding ceremonies I’ve had a pretty good run rate of no rain and a fair amount of sunshine, except for my very first wedding in August 2012, one or two over the years, and then Richard and Cher’s big day at Alcott Weddings this year.

Nothing was going to put a dampener on their marquee outdoor wedding!   Cher & Richard showed the Best of British, we simply got cosy under the marquee awning, their Unity Candles held up, and thanks to the trailer video by Truly Madly Films and some great shots from professional photographer James Tracey – you can see how much fun they had!

Anyway – did you know that rain on your wedding day is good luck?

“A knot that becomes wet is extremely hard to untie, therefore when you ‘tie the knot’ on a rainy day, your marriage is just as hard to undo.”

Plus, where I come from, it is also a sign of fertility, so watch out!

“What a fabulous recommendation we had when Justine was recommended to us. Justine completely understood us and made a ceremony so unique and perfect that reflected that understanding. We were guided through some fun questionnaires, talked about our story and had a real laugh at every stage of the way. We cannot say working with Justine as it never felt hard work. So many of our guests have said it was the most beautiful ceremony they’ve ever been to and my husband was eternally grateful for her support as he waited at the aisle. I would have absolutely no doubt ever recommending Justine for any ceremony. Thank you again for writing us a beautiful wedding xx”
