With the exception of the fabulous weddings that I am lucky enough to officiate each year, ‘The Wedding Industry Awards’ (TWIA) is the event of the wedding calendar. Having been a finalist the Special Touch Category in 2017, this year I am as pleased as punch to announce that I am the winner of the Celebrant category for the West Midlands 2018.
The Celebrant category is a new one for TWIA 2018 and it recognises the increasing popularity of having a celebrant-led wedding ceremony. Going up on stage to be presented with my award was a great feeling; it is wonderful to be recognised in my own right, but it is also great profile for all celebrants.
Thank you to all my couples that voted for me. I couldn’t have done it without your support, votes of confidence and wonderful comments – so the trophy sitting on my mantelpiece is for YOU. You truly make my job (I can hardly call it a job!) a pleasure to wake up to every morning.
TWIA is the only regional and national client voted awards in the wedding industry. It was set up to recognise excellent wedding suppliers and to help anyone organising a wedding find the best suppliers.
This year’s West Midlands Regional Event was held at Fazeley Studios in the heart of Birmingham – a popular wedding venue in its own right. It is always such a fabulously organised event put on by the founders of the TWIA who run a slick operation, and it is a chance to catch up with other wedding suppliers in a more relaxed environment.
Each of winners from each of the categories goes through to the National Finals at a glittering event in London on 17th January 2018.
